Why won't my venue won’t show up in the drop-down menu?

Eventful is a big place. We have thousands of venue listings in our system. Occasionally it may seem as though the venue listing you just created has disappeared. Please keep in mind that it takes a while for a new venue to get logged in our database. Your new venue might not be available right away.

But what if you are creating or editing an event, and the venue that you added last time you logged in is not showing up in the “Where” drop-down menu? This can often be solved by using quotation marks around the title of your venue when attempting to add it to your event.

For example, Eve’s Event Emporium should populate within the “Where” section’s drop-down box if you input: “Eve’s Event Emporium”.
